AFAICT, this report is about a historical bug in the woody version of snort-rules-default, not about a bug in the current sarge version of the package. If the sarge package is not also modifying its own conffiles, this bug should either be tagged woody (if this is about the behavior of the woody package) or downgraded (if you are requesting the current package to work around the historical breakage). In either case, it would not be an RC blocker for sarge, in spite of the historically-imposed ugliness.
