I have only checked build logs for ffmpeg-free_0.cvs20071007-4, not
for ffmpeg-free_0.svn20080206-1 from experimental. Obviously I have
been confused, too. ;)
However, I have added another option --extra-cflags="-fPIC -DPIC" to
debian/rules for the build of the shared library in SVN. Could someone
with access to a hppa machine please check if this resolves this issue?
