reassign 476033 ftp.debian.org retitle 'rcompgen obsoleted upstream and to be removed from unstable' severity 476033 normal thanks
The code from the source package 'rcompgen' has been integrated into the source package 'r-base' as per the r-base version 2.7.0 ("R 2.7.0"). In other words, the core parts of GNU R have absorbed what was at first an add-on package rcompgen. With that, the add-on package is no longer needed, and that is why the build is also made to fail as seen below. The rcompgen package should stay in testing and stable as those versions will continue to work with R releases prior to R 2.7.0 (of which we now have a pre-release in unstable).
