I'm aware of this failure in the testsuite. It's not a problem with the package itself, but a consequence of ghostscript being completely dysfunctional on some archs. I can always just disable the PS and PDF related parts of the testsuite as a workaround, but I'd rather see ghostscript fixed. Unfortunately, the bug appears to be quite involved. I've had a look but didn't get any further than what others had noted in the respective bug reports already. Smells a bit like a weird toolchain issue, so maybe there's some merit in scheduling a re-build with gcc 4.3?
