Hrm.  Can you try to "export OSYNC_TRACE=/tmp" and "export
OSYNC_PRIVACY=1" and run the above again?  This should yield some
"Thread*" files in /tmp (or where you set OSYNC_TRACE to), either check
them for ERROR or attach them to the bug report.
