i mean this package, correct.

this is of cause correct. i updated some days ago and my memories
were a little bit weak :)

This is, what i did: i had the above package installed on woody. all config
was in this one file /etc/powerdns/pdns.conf. to update the powerdns i copied
all config files to my home and removed pdns-static and installed pdns from
sarge-repository. then i copied my config back. so all config in this one
file.
today there was an update in sarge, i thought of nothing bad because normally
there would be a pdns.conf.dpkg-dist file. but the installer overwrote the
config file without asking me or doing a backup.
so all my handmade sql-queries were deleted.

you should make the pdns-package to not overwrite the config file, if it is
not the original one.

thanks.
