ugh... looks like sarge might need a sourceful update after all.

JFTR, the sarge packages pre-date my maintenance of these packages, so i 
accept no responsibility for such failures :)

security folks: it seems the sarge version of these packages depends on the 
mail-transport-agent providing mailq in the right place.  i'm not sure which 
MTA the security buildd has in place, but we could "force the issue" and 
hardcode the correct path in configure if you want it to be more future 
proof.  just let me know what you want me to do to fix the problem.
