But please consult the policy about where to put these files in the .deb package. Perhaps /usr/share/imapsync/perl5? When you are ready, create a diff.gz against the current debian version. I will also modify Description of the package and ask users to have a look on offlineimap/imapcopy, since imapsync is more and more out of date if it won't support newer Mail::IMAPClient.
