I have ogg vorbis sound files with "date" tags, e.g. date=1936-02-24 When I edit the tags with easytag, "1945" is shown as "year", the complete date is not shown. After saving changes, the original date information is destroyed without any warning! DATE=1936 IMHO, easytag should at least warn the user, that it will destroy (maybe valuable) information!
