Package: cupsys
Version: 1.2.7-4etch2
Severity: grave
Justification: renders package unusable
CUPS does not depend on foomatic filters package that is needed to print.
My HP LaserJet could be installed and set-up with config but didnt want to
print, except it blinked LED once.
I got the solution by tail -f /var/log/cups/error_log:
E [03/Jan/2008:12:30:27 +0100] PID 4555 (/usr/lib/cups/filter/foomatic-rip)
stopped with status 22!
E [03/Jan/2008:12:30:50 +0100] Filter "foomatic-rip" for printer
"hplj4plushpijs" not available: No such file or directory
I have installed foomatic-filters package and printing is working fine :-)

I'm sorry but cupsys seems don't have a responsibility about your bug.

Please check where your ppd is introduced from.
As far as I know because hpijs-ppds package and foomatic-filters-ppds
package depend on foomatic-filters, foomatic-filters should be installed
by them.
