On Florent's request, I'm currently building a fixed tetex-base package with this fix in it. So that these sorts of things can be fixed for release, please can we avoid tampering with the main branches of the tetex-* CVS repositories; it seems silly to have a separate branch just for this release when 3.0 is waiting in the wings for post-sarge.
