To learn more about what is going on here, I built both PSPP 0.4.0 and the latest version from CVS on pergolesi.debian.org in a 64-bit chroot. On "make check" on 0.4.0, about half of the tests failed. With the latest CVS snapshot, however, all tests passed, and the example program worked fine. I don't think that PSPP 0.4.0 is going to perform satisfactorily on x86-64. The upcoming release, and the current CVS for that matter, should be much better. (I am currently fielding a few problems with support for big-endian systems though. But those should be pretty easy to fix.) -- Ben Pfaff http://benpfaff.org -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Contact [EMAIL PROTECTED]
