Package: libsigc++0c2
Version: 1.0.4-9.1
Severity: serious
Hi,
It seems that atleast on amd64 the libsigc++0c2 is empty, while on i386
it contains a shared library. This results in other packages failing to
build because they try to make a shared library and only find a static
(non-PIC) sigc++ library.
During the build log, it shows things like:
checking how to recognise dependent libraries... file_magic ELF [0-9][0-9]*-bit
[LM]SB (shared object|dynamic lib )
[...]
/bin/sh ../libtool --mode=link c++ -g -O2 -o libsigc.la -rpath /usr/lib

*** Warning: linker path does not have real file for library -lstdc++.
*** I have the capability to make that library automatically link in when
*** you link to this library. But I can only do this if you have a
*** shared version of the library, which you do not appear to have

Please update your libtool version.

Description:
libsigc++-dev - Type-safe Signal Framework for C++ - development files
libsigc++0c2 - Type-safe Signal Framework for C++ - runtime
Closes: 260256 450662
Changes:
libsigc++ (1.0.4-9.2) unstable; urgency=high
.
* Non-maintainer upload with maintainer's approval.
* Apply patch from Guillem Jover and run autogen.sh to update libtool
(and to make the SIGCRC definition conditional), so as to fix FTBFS
on kfreebsd-*, and to fix broken builds (no shared objects) on amd64
(Closes: #260256, #450662). Urgency set to high accordingly.
* Replace the deprecated ${Source-Version} variable in debian/control
with ${binary:Version}.
* Remove the DH_COMPAT=4 declaration from debian/rules, and use
debian/compat instead.
