Package: wpasupplicant
Version: 0.6.0-4
Severity: grave
Justification: renders package unusable
hi
since a few days (i cannont pinpoint it better since i haven't used it
for some time), wpa_supplicant segafaults a few seconds after it was
started when i try to connect to my wpa2 secured wlan.
(for a very showrt period (10-15 sconds or so) the network seems to
be up and then it segfaults (both when started through ifup or by hand).
configuration:
network={
SSID="RHinosaur2"
key_mgmt=WPA-PSK
proto=WPA2
pairwise=CCMP
group=CCMP
psk="somePreSharedSecret"
}
wlan card is a ipw3945 (though i get no driver errors reported)
if it helps i can supply wpa_supplicant -dd, ltrace and/or strace logs.
thx
yours
albert
