I've been thinking a bit about ffcall. It seems like ffcall has troubles running on SELinux, and it seems like some people are trying to push for having SELinux enabled by default in Debian. ffcall is also only used in Debian by GNUstep, and one ocaml library. So I'm thinking of switching GNUstep from ffcall to libffi (which is part of the GCC sources, so I'm guessing would be better maintained than ffcall, which hasn't been updated for a long time).
