I'm happy to sponsor your upload a new package implementing this
change. If you see yourself unable to implement this yourself, I'm also
okay to file an 'severity important' bug against quark and 0-day NMU it
according to the normal NMU rules following your request.

I personally think sponsoring would be 'nicer' way of going. Just point
me to a "dget'able" url to your upload.
