The problem is in bibletime's libtool, which is antique.  Running the
same line with the same conftest file with Debian's current libtool
gives no errors.

I could find no evidence that libsword-dev really needs to include
libcurl*-dev as a dependency, this is only a workaround for a problem
in bibletime.
