As per http://curl.haxx.se/download.html, curl 1.17.0 is out, and it's supposed to fix the issues with libssh2-1 (btw, if I were you, I'd mention to the developer of libssh2 that even though this is 'unstable' he should do research re interaction packages that dep against his package before bumping it).
