A failed backup doesn't imply data loss... that would also imply I'm losing data whenever I skip making a backup :) > The new rsync package causes the systemimager 'getimage' command to > fail with this error: > > rsync: connection unexpectedly closed (0 bytes received so far) [receiver] > rsync error: error in rsync protocol data stream (code 12) at io.c(420) > the recommended version of rsync. > Failed to retrieve /etc/systemimager/mounted_filesystems from 127.0.0.1. > getimage: Have you run "prepareclient" on 127.0.0.1? > If you see the message "unrecognised option" above, check > http://systemimager.org/download/ to be sure that you are running > > Reverting to 2.6.4-2 causes normal behavior to resume. I'm guessing this is related to #307923. Please add a line log file = /var/log/rsyncd.log to the top of /etc/rsyncd.conf, and try it again. At least, I'm assuming you're using an rsync daemon; you give very little information on how rsync is being used. If that fixes it, please let me know ASAP so I can upload a fix for your problem.
