I wonder why it took your machine so long to upgrade to Etch, since it's been released for several months now, but anyway the reason of the disappearance is that xlock was not released with Etch. Due to it being buggy: Bug #318123: [CVE-2006-0061] xlockmore: xlock segfaults with libpam-opensc, returns to user session If you go to: http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=318123, you can find the full reason why xlock was removed from etch: in certain setups, you could get the screen to unlock by typing any passwords. A fix for this was uploaded before the Etch release, but unfortunately, it didn't make it into Etch. What it all means is: unfortunately you won't be able to install xlockmore from Etch. You have three possible things to do: 1) Download xlockmore from snapshots: http://snapshot.debian.net/archive/2007/01/17/debian/pool/main/x/xlockmore/ 2) Dowload xlockmore from testing: http://http.us.debian.org/debian/pool/main/x/xlockmore/ 3) Install a replacement of xlockmore, such as xscreensaver. I'm sorry that this happened. This is not, however, a bug in xlockmore. It's a missing package in Etch, and there's nothing that can be done about it now. Thus I'm closing the bug. -- Besos, Marga -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Contact [EMAIL PROTECTED]
