Actually, http.us.debian.org exists in the Debian DNS but is not proposed as a mirror during the isntallation, nor on http://www.debian.org/mirrors/list > using ftp.us.debian.org solves the problem. Moreoever, since http.us.debian.org is a DNS round-robin, it is difficult to process your bug, because all the servers seem ok. $ host http.us.debian.org http.us.debian.org has address 128.101.240.212 http.us.debian.org has address 204.152.191.7 http.us.debian.org has address 35.9.37.225 http.us.debian.org has address 64.50.238.52 Could you please specify the server you use and the packages you have problem with ?
