Hi! I took a quick look at this bug - but I only got partly thru.
The autoconf tests fails because the names of the symlinks have been changed. Every occurency of -lboost_foo or boost_foo in m4/k3d_with_external_boost.m4 should be replaged with either -lboost_foo-mt / boost_foo-mt (Or the -st versions) and autoconf rerun. The autoconf now finds boost properly, but it fails unfortunately later when boost is actually used.
