The wxwindows2.4-2.4.2.6 packages in testing are also subject to this, though the 2.4.2.6.1 upload (see #306013), should push them out now as soon as the buildd's catch up and well meaning idiots stop filing duplicates of #305300 wrongly against the 2.4 packages. This is going to mean yanking a bunch of dependent packages, but none of these were slated for Sarge (and all of this should have stayed in experimental if people didn't want ! x86 ports handed to them prebuilt), and I'll take any heat from the maintainers of those. Most should be pretty aware the switch to 2.6 was close at a minimum. I'm trying to get a viable replacement together for them now. So, in summary: Please remove the wxwidgets2.5 source package entirely. wxwindows2.4-2.4.2.6.1 has the offending files removed and should replace 2.4.2.6 without affecting any dependent packages. The m68k buildd seems to be the biggest hurdle remaining for that now. thanks, Ron --------------------------------------- Received: (at 306620-close) by bugs.debian.org; 1 May 2005 09:42:48 +0000 >From [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sun May 01 02:42:48 2005 Return-path: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Received: from newraff.debian.org [208.185.25.31] (mail) by spohr.debian.org with esmtp (Exim 3.35 1 (Debian)) id 1DSAyO-0003cC-00; Sun, 01 May 2005 02:42:48 -0700 Received: from rmurray by newraff.debian.org with local (Exim 3.35 1 (Debian)) id 1DSApz-0003Ba-00; Sun, 01 May 2005 05:34:07 -0400 From: Debian Archive Maintenance <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] X-Katie: melanie $Revision: 1.43 $ Subject: Bug#306620: fixed Message-Id: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sender: Ryan Murray <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Date: Sun, 01 May 2005 05:34:07 -0400 Delivered-To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] X-Spam-Checker-Version: SpamAssassin 2.60-bugs.debian.org_2005_01_02 (1.212-2003-09-23-exp) on spohr.debian.org X-Spam-Status: No, hits=-6.0 required=4.0 tests=BAYES_00,HAS_BUG_NUMBER autolearn=no version=2.60-bugs.debian.org_2005_01_02 X-Spam-Level: We believe that the bug you reported is now fixed; the following package(s) have been removed from unstable: libwxgtk2.5-dbg | 2.5.3.2 | alpha, arm, hppa, i386, ia64, m68k, mips, mipsel, s390, sparc libwxgtk2.5-dev | 2.5.3.2 | alpha, arm, hppa, i386, ia64, m68k, mips, mipsel, s390, sparc libwxgtk2.5.3 | 2.5.3.2 | alpha, arm, hppa, i386, ia64, m68k, mips, mipsel, s390, sparc libwxgtk2.5.3-python | 2.5.3.2 | alpha, arm, hppa, i386, ia64, m68k, mips, mipsel, s390, sparc wx2.5-common | 2.5.3.2 | alpha, arm, hppa, i386, ia64, m68k, mips, mipsel, s390, sparc wx2.5-doc | 2.5.3.2 | all wx2.5-examples | 2.5.3.2 | all wx2.5-headers | 2.5.3.2 | alpha, arm, hppa, i386, ia64, m68k, mips, mipsel, s390, sparc wx2.5-i18n | 2.5.3.2 | all wxpython2.5.3 | 2.5.3.2 | alpha, arm, hppa, i386, ia64, m68k, mips, mipsel, s390, sparc wxwidgets2.5 | 2.5.3.2 | source Note that the package(s) have simply been removed from the tag database and may (or may not) still be in the pool; this is not a bug. The package(s) will be physically removed automatically when no suite references them (and in the case of source, when no binary references it). Please also remember that the changes have been done on the master archive (ftp-master.debian.org) and will not propagate to any mirrors (ftp.debian.org included) until the next cron.daily run at the earliest. Packages are never removed from testing by hand. Testing tracks unstable and will automatically remove packages which were removed from unstable when removing them from testing causes no dependency problems. Bugs which have been reported against this package are not automatically removed from the Bug Tracking System. Please check all open bugs and close them or re-assign them to another package if the removed package was superseded by another one. Thank you for reporting the bug, which will now be closed.
