Christian, you're clearly trying to remove this dependency (debian/patches/remove_openssl.diff), but the patch applies to configure.ac and you aren't running autoconf. As a result, configure remains unpatched and the binaries are linking with libssl. I've set the severity to 'serious' because quagga is licensed under the GPL (without explicit OpenSSL exception), therefore linking with OpenSSL makes it unredistributable. On a side note, you really have to consider using dpatch or cdbs instead of manually patching debian/patches. Upgrading to debhelper 4 would be nice too - if you don't switch to cdbs that is. -- System Information: Debian Release: 3.1 APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing'), (50, 'unstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.9 Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=C (charmap=ANSI_X3.4-1968) Versions of packages quagga depends on: ii debconf 1.4.30.13 Debian configuration management sy ii iproute 20041019-3 Professional tools to control the ii libc6 2.3.2.ds1-21 GNU C Library: Shared libraries an ii libcap1 1:1.10-14 support for getting/setting POSIX. ii libncurses5 5.4-4 Shared libraries for terminal hand ii libpam0g 0.76-22 Pluggable Authentication Modules l ii libreadline4 4.3-11 GNU readline and history libraries ii libsnmp5 5.1.2-6.1 NET SNMP (Simple Network Managemen ii libssl0.9.7 0.9.7e-3 SSL shared libraries ii logrotate 3.7-2 Log rotation utility -- debconf information excluded --------------------------------------- Received: (at 306840-close) by bugs.debian.org; 29 Apr 2005 01:40:57 +0000 >From [EMAIL PROTECTED] Thu Apr 28 18:40:57 2005 Return-path: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Received: from newraff.debian.org [208.185.25.31] (mail) by spohr.debian.org with esmtp (Exim 3.35 1 (Debian)) id 1DRKUy-000596-00; Thu, 28 Apr 2005 18:40:57 -0700 Received: from katie by newraff.debian.org with local (Exim 3.35 1 (Debian)) id 1DRKMO-0000W1-00; Thu, 28 Apr 2005 21:32:04 -0400 From: Christian Hammers <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] X-Katie: $Revision: 1.55 $ Subject: Bug#306840: fixed in quagga 0.98.3-5 Message-Id: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sender: Archive Administrator <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Date: Thu, 28 Apr 2005 21:32:04 -0400 Delivered-To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] X-Spam-Checker-Version: SpamAssassin 2.60-bugs.debian.org_2005_01_02 (1.212-2003-09-23-exp) on spohr.debian.org X-Spam-Status: No, hits=-6.0 required=4.0 tests=BAYES_00,HAS_BUG_NUMBER autolearn=no version=2.60-bugs.debian.org_2005_01_02 X-Spam-Level: Source: quagga Source-Version: 0.98.3-5 We believe that the bug you reported is fixed in the latest version of quagga, which is due to be installed in the Debian FTP archive: quagga-doc_0.98.3-5_all.deb to pool/main/q/quagga/quagga-doc_0.98.3-5_all.deb quagga_0.98.3-5.diff.gz to pool/main/q/quagga/quagga_0.98.3-5.diff.gz quagga_0.98.3-5.dsc to pool/main/q/quagga/quagga_0.98.3-5.dsc quagga_0.98.3-5_i386.deb to pool/main/q/quagga/quagga_0.98.3-5_i386.deb A summary of the changes between this version and the previous one is attached. So now ./configure is patched directly (thanks to Faidon Liambotis for reporting). Closes: #306840 * Raised Debhelper compatibility level from 3 to 4.
