Package: nvidia-kernel-common Version: 1.0.7174-1 Severity: grave Justification: renders package unusable
Hello, this is an up to date debian box. XFree86 won't start. It complains: Loadmodule: "nvidia" Warning, couldn't open module "nvidia" Failed to load module "nvidia" (module does not exist, 0) I tried several combinations of apt-get remove --purge nvidia* and fresh modules made with modules-assistant and also tried a custom kernel from people.debian.org/~rdonald.. none of these improves. Replacing nvidia with nv in /etx/X11/XFree86-4 helps, though..
