Hello Loïc,
I am in the process of preparing a new goobox release which is based
on an upstream snapshot and uses gstreamer 0.10 now. I've built and
run versions in a current sid changeroot, but for various reasons I
cannot completely test it there.

Thus I decided to backport the necessary libraries to Etch and compile
and test it on Etch as well. Now I run into a deadlock. I need
libgnomeui-dev (>= 2.8) and tried to compile it, however, it requires
libgtk2.0-dev (>= 2.10.1-1) which I was able to compile. Installing,
however, fails because:
 libgtk2.0-0 conflicts with libgnomeui-0 (<= 2.14.1-3)
   libgnomeui-0 (version 2.14.1-2+b1) is installed.

So, to install libgtk2.0-0 I need a newer libgnomeui-0, but to build
that libgnomeui-0 I need a newer libgtk2.0-0. I saw that you added the
conflict in gtk+2.0 (2.10.11-2):
   * Bump Conflicts to gtk2-engines-gtk-qt << 1:0.7-2, imhangul <=
     0.9.13-3.1, libgnomeui-0 <= 2.14.1-3, swf-player <= 0.3.6-2.2,
     tamil-gtk2im <= 2.2-4.3, uim-gtk2.0 <= 1:1.2.1-9.

How is the proper way around the circular dependency? Should I look
for gtk+2.0 2.10.11-1, or remove the conflict for the sake of building
libgnomeui-dev?

Thanks!

Greetings

          Helge
