What I'm afraid of is that new CRM114 users could start use the wrong binary name, thus forcing the package to carry cruft forever. And it would mean introducing the cruft into stable Debian version (crm114 is not present in woody). Providing a warning during installation or making the link optional looks like overkill to me. Making /usr/bin/crm114 a wrapper script providing some warning may be dangerous. Making just the crm114 link and add a big warning in README.Debian probably doesn't solve the problem since most users don't read README.Debian files I guess. But this could make a nice excuse for me :-) when the link gets removed sometimes in the future, so this is what I'm most likely to do. Any better suggestion? OK, thanks for testing. IIRC, there were some microgrooming related bugs in older CRM114 versions, maybe this was one of their manifestations.
