I guess you see exceptions during startup in the java script console. I looked into it and found that those actually prevent the complete component registration and XUL reinstantiation process. Thus, I found an error that is likely to prevent a clean upgrade (in terms of component and XUL registration). So let's see if the next upload triggers bug reports that look similar to this one.
