Hi, looking at the build log snippet in this bug report I would simply give the 'diet' compiler wrapper the -Os option (or better yet -v -Os to be verbose) so that it adjusts the gcc options. On sparc it then adds -mcpu=supersparc which should fix this problem. The 'diet -v -Os' wrapper should also be used for the linker.
