I tried the configuration you showed but the authentication worked. On this host, PAM goes through an external LDAP database, FWIW. The only change in the package was that the default /etc/pam.d/httpd now looks like this: #%PAM-1.0 @include common-auth @include common-account whereas it formerly looked like this: #%PAM-1.0 auth required /lib/security/pam_unix.so account required /lib/security/pam_unix.so Perhaps if you change it back it will work for you. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
