Recent uploads of the new PDF::API2 packages to Debian (starting 2005-01-06) have caused PDF::Report to stop working properly. The cause of this are some changes to PDF::API2's interface, I presume, although I haven't investigated the matter much. Software that worked with the 0.3r77 releases stopped working with the new 0.40 releases. We should: 1) Add a Conflicts: line 2) Report this upstream Anyways, this package shouldn't find it's way into Sarge without fixing. Regards, Allard PS: Yes, there is a new upstream version. It doesn't fix this issue. -- System Information: Debian Release: 3.1 APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.10-ac10-byte Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=C (charmap=ANSI_X3.4-1968) Versions of packages libpdf-report-perl depends on: ii libpdf-api2-perl 0.40.83-2 Provides the functions for creatin ii libtext-roman-perl 3.3-3 A module for managing integer and ii perl 5.8.4-5 Larry Wall's Practical Extraction -- no debconf information --------------------------------------- Received: (at 292622-close) by bugs.debian.org; 16 Feb 2005 22:38:02 +0000 >From [EMAIL PROTECTED] Wed Feb 16 14:38:02 2005 Return-path: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Received: from newraff.debian.org [208.185.25.31] (mail) by spohr.debian.org with esmtp (Exim 3.35 1 (Debian)) id 1D1Xo2-0001TB-00; Wed, 16 Feb 2005 14:38:02 -0800 Received: from katie by newraff.debian.org with local (Exim 3.35 1 (Debian)) id 1D1XiP-0004yy-00; Wed, 16 Feb 2005 17:32:13 -0500 From: Gunnar Wolf <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] X-Katie: $Revision: 1.55 $ Subject: Bug#292622: fixed in libpdf-report-perl 1.22-2 Message-Id: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sender: Archive Administrator <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Date: Wed, 16 Feb 2005 17:32:13 -0500 Delivered-To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] X-Spam-Checker-Version: SpamAssassin 2.60-bugs.debian.org_2005_01_02 (1.212-2003-09-23-exp) on spohr.debian.org X-Spam-Status: No, hits=-6.0 required=4.0 tests=BAYES_00,HAS_BUG_NUMBER autolearn=no version=2.60-bugs.debian.org_2005_01_02 X-Spam-Level: Source: libpdf-report-perl Source-Version: 1.22-2 We believe that the bug you reported is fixed in the latest version of libpdf-report-perl, which is due to be installed in the Debian FTP archive: libpdf-report-perl_1.22-2.diff.gz to pool/main/libp/libpdf-report-perl/libpdf-report-perl_1.22-2.diff.gz libpdf-report-perl_1.22-2.dsc to pool/main/libp/libpdf-report-perl/libpdf-report-perl_1.22-2.dsc libpdf-report-perl_1.22-2_all.deb to pool/main/libp/libpdf-report-perl/libpdf-report-perl_1.22-2_all.deb libpdf-report-perl_1.22.orig.tar.gz to pool/main/libp/libpdf-report-perl/libpdf-report-perl_1.22.orig.tar.gz A summary of the changes between this version and the previous one is attached.
