It has me puzzled as well. I did test that fix and it worked. However now when I go back to the testing version and manually apply the fix it does not work anymore. I tried the other approach (removing the extra template) and that got things working again. I did get a broken LaTeX tabular but haven't investigated yet if that was due to removing that template or some other reason.
