Package: apt-proxy Version: 1.9.25 Severity: grave Justification: renders package unusable
Apparently a change to python has caused AP to no longer be able to start. The python 2.3.5-1 package has removed the profile.py. I'm not a python programmer so I don't know if this is related or not, but it seems like a darn good guess. # /etc/init.d/apt-proxy start Starting apt-proxyTraceback (most recent call last): File "/usr/bin/twistd", line 34, in ? from twisted.scripts.twistd import run File "/usr/lib/python2.3/site-packages/twisted/scripts/twistd.py", line 26, in ? from twisted.application import app, service File "/usr/lib/python2.3/site-packages/twisted/application/app.py", line 21, in ? import sys, os, pdb, profile, getpass, traceback, signal ImportError: No module named profile . # -- System Information: Debian Release: 3.1 APT prefers unstable APT policy: (400, 'unstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.4.27-home686 Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=C (charmap=ANSI_X3.4-1968) Versions of packages apt-proxy depends on: ii bzip2 1.0.2-4 high-quality block-sorting file co ii debconf 1.4.45 Debian configuration management sy ii logrotate 3.7-2 Log rotation utility ii python 2.3.4-6 An interactive high-level object-o ii python-apt 0.5.10 Python interface to libapt-pkg ii python-bsddb3 3.3.0-6 Python interface to libdb3 ii python-twisted 1.3.0-6 Event-based framework for internet -- debconf information: * apt-proxy/upgrading-v2: * apt-proxy/upgrading-v2-result: -- This email sent with peace, love and Linux. -----BEGIN GEEK CODE BLOCK----- Version: 3.12 GB d s: a C++ UL++++ P++ L++++ E- W++ N+ o-- K w-- O M+ V PS+ PE++ Y+ PGP++ t+ 5 X++ R* tv+ b++ DI++ D--- G e h--- r++ y++ ------END GEEK CODE BLOCK------
