Package: postfix
Version: 2.1.5-4
Severity: grave
Justification: renders package unusable
I did a satellite install (as shown in the debconf information below).
The postinst script then installed /usr/share/postfix/master.cf.local
as /etc/postfix/master.conf. This file contains this line:
> sed -ne 81p /usr/share/postfix/master.cf.local
::1:smtp inet n - - - - smtpd
This caused postfix not to start:
Jan 24 19:33:44 ayer postfix/postfix-script: starting the Postfix mail system
Jan 24 19:33:45 ayer postfix/master[2382]: fatal: /etc/postfix/master.cf: line
84: bad hostname or network address: ::1
Commenting out the line makes it work fine.
If I 'insmod ipv6', then the line works, too, but I shouldn't have to
install the ipv6 kernel module for postfix to work.
