No, you have changed it in the manpages, but the only thing (according to lintian/linda) that should change in the manpage is the hyphen-used-as-minus-sign. The description-* are to be dealt with in the Description fields in the control file.
So, please change the manpages back (except the hyphen-used-as-minus-sign) and change the control file and check your changes with the latest lintian.
