Best Regards, robert ----- Forwarded message from Joergen Haegg <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> ----- From: Joergen Haegg <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subject: Bug#324835: afterstep has problems with window prio To: Debian Bug Tracking System <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> X-Mailer: reportbug 3.15 Date: Wed, 24 Aug 2005 08:56:25 +0200 Lines: 65 Package: afterstep Version: 2.1.2-2 Severity: normal Quite often I get problems when I start new windows, like a new aterm or other programs. Afterstep don't get the stacking of windows right, often it will put another window in the background, hiding it from one that was previous under it. I guess the problem is determining what window should be seen whe the new window is created. This can also happen when I iconify/deiconfy windows. The problem has been around for a while, don't remember exactly when it first started. A new interesting feature was introduced in the latest version, instead of windows just get hidden, they now move to other virtual desktops, apparently at random. -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.4.27-zev Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=en_US (charmap=ISO-8859-1) Versions of packages afterstep depends on: ii aterm [x-terminal-emulato 0.4.2-11 Afterstep XVT - a VT102 emulator f ii debianutils 2.14.2 Miscellaneous utilities specific t ii imagemagick 6:6.2.3.6-3 Image manipulation programs ii libafterimage0 2.1.2-2 imaging library designed for After ii libafterstep1 2.1.2-2 shared libraries for the AfterStep ii libatk1.0-0 1.10.1-2 The ATK accessibility toolkit hi libc6 2.3.5-4 GNU C Library: Shared libraries an ii libfreetype6 2.1.10-1 FreeType 2 font engine, shared lib ii libglib2.0-0 2.8.0-1 The GLib library of C routines ii libgtk2.0-0 2.6.9-1 The GTK+ graphical user interface ii libice6 6.8.2.dfsg.1-5 Inter-Client Exchange library ii libjpeg62 6b-10 The Independent JPEG Group's JPEG ii libpango1.0-0 1.8.2-1 Layout and rendering of internatio ii libpng12-0 1.2.8rel-1 PNG library - runtime ii libsm6 6.8.2.dfsg.1-5 X Window System Session Management ii libtiff4 3.7.3-1 Tag Image File Format (TIFF) libra ii libungif4g 4.1.3-3 shared library for GIF images (run ii libx11-6 6.8.2.dfsg.1-5 X Window System protocol client li ii libxext6 6.8.2.dfsg.1-5 X Window System miscellaneous exte ii libxinerama1 6.8.2.dfsg.1-5 X Window System multi-head display ii menu 2.1.25 generates programs menu for all me ii perl 5.8.7-4 Larry Wall's Practical Extraction ii ttf-freefont 20031008-1.1 Freefont Serif, Sans and Mono True ii ucf 2.001 Update Configuration File: preserv ii xbase-clients 6.8.2.dfsg.1-5 miscellaneous X clients ii xlibmesa-gl [libgl1] 6.8.2.dfsg.1-5 Mesa 3D graphics library [X.Org] ii xlibs 6.8.2.dfsg.1-5 X Window System client libraries m ii xterm [x-terminal-emulato 6.8.2.dfsg.1-5 X terminal emulator ii zlib1g 1:1.2.3-3 compression library - runtime afterstep recommends no packages. -- no debconf information ----- End forwarded message ----- -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
