Hi Schurig,

I'm resending this bug against patcher in order to tag the bug as forwarded=
.=20

Right now I'm very busy working at my graduation project, but thanks to it =
I've learned the perl I need to help closing patcher's bugs, so in about a =
moth or so I'll be able to deal with them.

Thanks for your understanding.

Alejandro.

P.S.: Please preserve the CC to [EMAIL PROTECTED] when you r=
eply, so that the bug tracking system will file the reply with the original=
 report.

Subject: Patcher should store file names relative to project directory

Package: patcher
Version: 0.0.20040521-1

Maybe I don't understand the correct usage of patcher, but the following
behaviour seems pretty stupid to me:

wallace:/tmp$ mkdir subdir
wallace:/tmp$ touch subdir/test{1,2}
wallace:/tmp$ patcher -n test subdir/test1=20
NOTE: editing file subdir/test1
Processing '/home/mb/.joerc'...done

File subdir/test1 saved.
wallace:/tmp$ cd subdir
wallace:/tmp/subdir$ patcher test2=20
NOTE: editing file test2
Processing '/home/mb/.joerc'...done

File test2 saved.
wallace:/tmp/subdir$ cd ..
wallace:/tmp$ patcher -r
Can't open tmp/test2~test
NOTE: patch 'test' refreshed
wallace:/tmp$ cat .patches/test.files=20
subdir/test1
test2

So when I edit a file using patcher without being in the directory that
also contains the .patches directory, patcher still finds the right .patche=
s
directory (great!), but then doesn't make the file name it adds to
.patches/PATCHNAME.files relative to the directory containing .patches.
IMHO, in the previous test case, the contents of .patches/test.file should
have looked like this:
subdir/test1
subdir/test2
