To reproduce:
-Run xmms with imms disabled and an empty playlist
-enable imms

It doesn't happen if you have songs in your playlist.

Package: imms
Version: 2.0.1-3
Severity: normal

[Normal because some of this looks like it might be important]

This starts the moment I click 'enable plugin' on IMMS in xmms:

IMMS: connection failed: Connection refused
Connection failed: Connection refused
IMMSd version 2.0.1 ready...
IMMSd: another instance already active - exiting.
0 msecs elapsed
0 msecs elapsed
0 msecs elapsed
0 msecs elapsed
0 msecs elapsed
0 msecs elapsed
...

The '0 msecs elapsed' continues forever spewing ~2 msgs/sec. (Actually,
it might stop either once started playing music).
