GET / HTTP/1.1 Host: www.example.com using echoping. Many sites will give out errors or redirects if you use the two forms which I have been able to get from echoping, namely GET http://www.example.com/ HTTP/1.1 Host: www.example.com and: GET / HTTP/1.1 Host: www.example.com:80 While adding the port is allowed according to the RFCs, forcing it to always be added means monitoring some sites is hard. -- System Information: Debian Release: wheezy/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing'), (50, 'unstable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 3.2.0-2-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=nb_NO.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=nb_NO.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages echoping depends on: ii libc6 2.13-27 ii libgnutls26 2.12.16-1 ii libidn11 1.23-2 ii libpopt0 1.16-3 echoping recommends no packages. echoping suggests no packages. -- no debconf information -- Tollef Fog Heen UNIX is user friendly, it's just picky about who its friends are -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
