Package: libsmbclient-raw0,python-samba Version: libsmbclient-raw0/4.0.0~alpha18.dfsg1-1 Version: python-sambe/4.0.0~alpha17.dfsg2-1 Severity: normal
Hi, during the recent upgrade of some packages built from samba4's source, the following file conflict happened: Preparing to replace libsmbclient-raw0 4.0.0~alpha17.dfsg2-1 (using .../libsmbclient-raw0_4.0.0~alpha18.dfsg1-1_amd64.deb) ... Unpacking replacement libsmbclient-raw0 ... dpkg: error processing /var/cache/apt/archives/libsmbclient-raw0_4.0.0~alpha18.dfsg1-1_amd64.deb (--unpack): trying to overwrite '/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/samba/libsmbregistry.so', which is also in package python-samba 4.0.0~alpha17.dfsg2-1 dpkg-deb: error: subprocess paste was killed by signal (Broken pipe) I suspect a missing "Replaces" to be the cause. Maybe related to the LP #889869 fix. A second dist-upgrade run worked fine, because python-samba has been upgraded later in the first dist-upgrade where libsmbclient-raw0 failed. -- System Information: Debian Release: wheezy/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (990, 'unstable'), (600, 'testing'), (400, 'stable'), (110, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.26-2-xen-amd64 (SMP w/1 CPU core) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages libsmbclient-raw0 depends on: ii libc6 2.13-27 ii libgensec0 4.0.0~alpha18.dfsg1-1 ii libndr-standard0 4.0.0~alpha18.dfsg1-1 ii libndr0 4.0.0~alpha18.dfsg1-1 ii libsamba-credentials0 4.0.0~alpha18.dfsg1-1 ii libsamba-util0 4.0.0~alpha18.dfsg1-1 ii libtalloc2 2.0.7+git20120207-1 ii libtevent0 0.9.15-1 ii multiarch-support 2.13-27 libsmbclient-raw0 recommends no packages. libsmbclient-raw0 suggests no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
