Package: changetrack Version: 4.7-1 Severity: wishlist I extensively use changetrack to maintain an archive of configuration files and as an alert system for when upgrades change a configuration file.
At present in /var/lib/changetrack there are 7107 files and in the RCS sub-directory 2357 files. Instead of creating archive files of the form eg usr:local:X11R6:share:sawfish:themes:AceIce:theme.jl,v would it be feasible and better instead for changetrack to create a mirror sub-directory tree under changetrack and RCS eg for the above /var/lib/changetrack/usr/local/X11R6/share/sawfish/themes instead of putting all of the files in a single flat "top level" directory? -- System Information: Debian Release: wheezy/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 3.2.0-1-686-pae (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages changetrack depends on: ii perl 5.14.2-7 Versions of packages changetrack recommends: ii cron 3.0pl1-121 ii ed 1.6-1 ii rcs 5.7-25 changetrack suggests no packages. -- Configuration Files: /etc/changetrack.conf [Errno 13] Permission denied: u'/etc/changetrack.conf' /etc/default/changetrack changed [not included] -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
