BTW, whatis the prefered font format by FreeFont upstream, Truetype or Opentype? I am asking for two reasons: 1) In Debian we are switching to format-independent package names for fonts, i.e. ttf-freefont will become fonts-freefont (or maybe fonts-gnu-freefont, as the freefont name is a bit generic) with one of the next uploads. That means, we have to decide for one font format in the packages, as we are not going to package both ttf and otf. 2) Currently, FreeMono is the default font for the texttopdf filter in cups-filters, and the filter *needs* it in ttf format. I have currently sent a patch against cups-filters to query fontconfig for a valid alternative if freemono.ttf could not be found, but it sounds reasonable nevertheless to at least provide the prefered font in the expected format. Maybe, if you happen to prefer otf, we could provide Sans and Serif in otf and Mono in ttf? - Fabian -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [email protected] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble?
