Package: dpkg Version: 1.16.1.2 Severity: wishlist Hello, I do heavily use linux capabilities to harden my system a bit. For example, I use "dpkg-statoverride --update --add root root 755 =mount; setcap 1,21=ep =mount". But every time I have to mount a cdrom or so dpkg has overwritten this capabilities and I have to reset them. Please do not overwrite this capabilities or give a way to reset them after a binary was updated. -- System Information: Debian Release: wheezy/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (800, 'unstable'), (700, 'stable'), (60, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 3.1.10 (SMP w/8 CPU cores; PREEMPT) Locale: LANG=de_DE, LC_CTYPE=de_DE (charmap=ISO-8859-1) (ignored: LC_ALL set to de_DE) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages dpkg depends on: ii coreutils 8.13-3 ii libbz2-1.0 1.0.6-1 ii libc6 2.13-27 ii libselinux1 2.1.9-2 ii xz-utils 5.1.1alpha+20110809-3 ii zlib1g 1:1.2.6.dfsg-2 dpkg recommends no packages.
