Package: liblivemedia-dev Version: 2012.02.29-1 Severity: wishlist Hi,
The upstream liveMedia changelog says: 2012.02.29: - We no longer define RTSPCLIENT_SYNCHRONOUS_INTERFACE by default. Consequently, the old, now-deprecated 'synchronous' "RTSPClient" interface will no longer be available, by default. If you still want this, however, you can get it by "#define"ing RTSPCLIENT_SYNCHRONOUS_INTERFACE before "RTSPClient.hh" gets included the first time. Unfortunately, that is not true for Debian, since the old interface is also not found in the static library anymore. This means that the dvswitch 0.9 upload that I wanted to do today isn't going to happen. While deprecating things so they can be removed in the long run is probably a good idea, it would be nice if this wasn't forced overnight. Please make sure that for the time being, the symbols for the old interface are still available in the static library for those who still need it.
