Package: davfs2 Version: 1.4.6-1.1 Severity: normal I have davfs configured to allow a regular user to mount a filesystem:
joey@gnu:~>mount /media/box.com joey@gnu:~>df /media/box.com Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on https://www.box.com/dav/ 26G 13G 13G 50% /media/box.com joey@gnu:~>umount /media/box.com umount: only root can unmount https://www.box.com/dav/ from /media/box.com zsh: exit 2 umount /media/box.com joey@gnu:~>umount.davfs /media/box.com umount: only root can unmount https://www.box.com/dav/ from /media/box.com zsh: exit 1 umount.davfs /media/box.com I don't understand this. I'm the user who mounted it, and am in the davfs2 group. The man page says this should work: Now the WebDAV resource may be mounted by user filomena invoking mount /media/dav and unmounted by user filomena invoking umount /media/dav I even tried making umount.davfs suid root.. same result. -- System Information: Debian Release: wheezy/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 3.2.0-1-686-pae (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.utf8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.utf8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages davfs2 depends on: ii adduser 3.113+nmu1 ii debconf [debconf-2.0] 1.5.41 ii libc6 2.13-27 ii libneon27-gnutls 0.29.6-1 davfs2 recommends no packages. davfs2 suggests no packages. -- Configuration Files: /etc/davfs2/davfs2.conf changed [not included] /etc/davfs2/secrets [Errno 13] Permission denied: u'/etc/davfs2/secrets' -- debconf information: davfs2/user_name: davfs2 davfs2/group_name: davfs2 davfs2/new_group: true davfs2/non_root_users_confimed: * davfs2/suid_file: true davfs2/new_user: true -- see shy jo
