Package: dtc-xen
Version: 0.5.14-1~bpo60+1
Severity: normal

When installing a new CentOS domU, DTC-Xen forces the 'extra' parameter in the
/etc/xen/xenXX file to be '4'. This is fine normally, but it appears as though
when using a >= 3.0 kernel (possibly with Xen hypervisor 4.x) that the term
parameters are required otherwise xm console doesn't output boot messages. It
still outputs kernel messages though.

The last few lines from xm console are:

[ 0.653046] kjournald starting. Commit interval 5 seconds
[ 0.653105] EXT3-fs (xvda): mounted filesystem with ordered data mode
[ 1.288121] udev[205]: starting version 164
[ 1.809216] Adding 524284k swap on /dev/xvdb. Priority:-1 extents:1
across:524284k SS
[ 1.815738] EXT3-fs (xvda): using internal journal

On my system, by manually adding ' TERM=xterm xencons=xvc0 console=xvc0', I can
now see the console lines.
