Package: frozen-bubble Version: 2.2.0-2 Severity: normal Since the upload yesterday of libsdl-perl 2.537~02-2 the current frozen-bubble is uninstallable.
# apt-get install frozen-bubble Reading package lists... Done Building dependency tree Reading state information... Done Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable distribution that some required packages have not yet been created or been moved out of Incoming. The following information may help to resolve the situation: The following packages have unmet dependencies: frozen-bubble : Depends: libsdl-perl (>= 1.20-8) but it is not going to be installed E: Broken packages I am confused as to why this is since 2.537~02-2 is newer than 1.20-8. This is confirmed by dpkg. $ dpkg --compare-versions 2.537~02-2 gt 1.20-8 && echo yes || echo no yes So I don't see why the dependency was previously met okay by 2.2.5-1+b1 and 2.2.5-1+b4 but now isn't met by 2.537~02-2. But version 1.20-8 is now an oldstable Lenny issue. In stable Squeeze the version is 2.2.5-1+b1 (ominously binNMU'd on all architectures). Perhaps simply removing that version from the depends would be sufficient to avoid the problem and to move on? Thanks for maintaining frozen-bubble!
