I don't think it's a bug. As long as the addresses used are absolute, they will not change if you move your cells, insert rows or anything else. Looks like what you want is relative addressing, that is A5:A10 instead of $A$5:$A$10. You might also use $A5:$A10 if you don't insert columns.
