The processes-hanging-in-D-state problem started again within the last few hours. The system has been up for five days and no network disruptions involving the NFS server were observed. The problem was preceeded by the same lockd message I reported earlier. Interestingly, these stuck processes have the same file open the last time this problem happened. I can 'cat' the file just fine.
