Dear Maintainer,
export DEB_LDFLAGS_MAINT_SET = -Wl,--as-needed
overwrites the LDFLAGS hardening flags set by dpkg-buildflags.
Please use _APPEND instead:
export DEB_LDFLAGS_MAINT_APPEND = -Wl,--as-needed
You can check the result with the `hardening-check` script in the
hardening-includes package:
